Resending an invitation to a reseller customer: status and limits
Read the Access column of your customer list, know who can be sent a new invitation, and what each message means when an invitation cannot be sent again: a short wait, or a daily limit per customer.
This article explains the Access column of the Customers page in the Reseller area, and the limits on sending a customer a new sign-in invitation. How to add a customer in the first place is in the article Adding a customer to your reseller account.
The Access column
- Invitation pending: this customer has never signed in.
- Signed in followed by a date: the customer has signed in, and the date is their latest sign-in.
- A dash: the page could not tell. Reload the page.
Resend an invitation
The Resend invitation action appears only for a customer whose Access reads Invitation pending. Choosing it asks Send the invitation again?, because it emails that customer a real, new sign-in link. Choose Send invitation to confirm.
The limits
- A few minutes between invitations. After one is sent, another cannot be sent to the same customer for about five minutes. The page says An invitation was sent a moment ago. Wait a few minutes before sending another.
- Three invitations a day per customer. Once a customer has been sent three, the page says This customer has already been sent the most invitations allowed today. Try again tomorrow. The limit counts each customer separately, so it does not stop you inviting your other customers, and it lifts after about a day.
Other messages
- Invitation sent to β¦: the email went out.
- The invitation email to β¦ could not be sent. Try again in a moment.: nothing was delivered. Wait a moment and try once more.
- β¦ has already signed in, so there is nothing to resend.: the customer signed in after your list loaded. The list refreshes to show it.
